Agriturismo & Fattoria Didattica Mamma Chica is a small family-run facility located in the Hills of La Spezia.

Francesco and his family renovated the properties in 2008, creating a farm that is different from classic agritourism, because every day they add a piece to this multifunctional company that makes contact with nature its center: from agritourism to B&B, from direct sales to the farmer’s market and educational and taste farm activities to the social farm.

The farm covers five hectares cultivated using only natural techniques and products; processed products (such as jams, passata, oil etc.) and fresh products (such as fruits, vegetables etc.) are used within the restaurant and sold to guests or at the farmers’ market.

The Mamma Chica restaurant is a simple but cozy place housed in a quaint cellar. Everything is km 0, because the organic vegetables and fruits from the garden, the oil, the homemade bread and pasta, the cakes and jams, are the starting point to prepare something simple but tasty every day, to share with their guests.

The farmhouse has three apartments for tourist use, totally immersed in nature. Guests can take advantage of the spaces and services offered by the entire facility, such as the swimming pool. Inside the facility there is a Straw Theater made with straw bales, on one of the farm’s terraces overlooking the green hills where everything harmonizes with the surrounding nature and the land becomes an integral part of the scene.

During the spring and summer period, performances and musical events are organized, a special evening of art and culture in a totally exceptional location. Recently, with the ever-increasing tourist demand for typical, lived and traditional experiences, two types of typical days that you can spend at the farmhouse have been included.

The first is the Guided Tour of our entire facility where it is possible to experience a farmer’s typical day: from harvesting, to caring for the animals, to arranging the areas. At the end, they are offered a cutting board of typical products from our area.

The second is the Cooking Class “Cucina & Mangia”: a typical Ligurian cooking experience where we prepare real pesto as it used to be and fresh homemade pasta. Everything that is prepared is cooked and enjoyed in our restaurant.
