A few kilometers from the sea of the Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets, Agriturismo I Due Ghiri is located in the heart of the Val di Vara, a wide green inland area of the province of La Spezia, rich in historical and natural charm.
The farm extends over 35 hectares of land where olives, fruit trees, chestnuts, and seasonal vegetables are grown using organic methods.
Hospitality is offered in three ancient stone farmhouses, restored in respect of their original architecture. The accommodations include apartments with kitchenettes and spacious rooms, all equipped with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning.
“Cucina per amici” (“Cooking for Friends”) is our small restaurant, offering simple dishes prepared with ingredients from the farm—vegetables and fruit from the garden, olive oil, farm-raised meat, homemade bread and pasta, desserts, and jams—to be shared around a long communal table.
Among the experiences offered, cooking workshops allow guests to prepare bread, focaccia, pizza, fresh pasta, ravioli, and desserts, following step by step the techniques and gestures of tradition. It’s an opportunity to experiment and share the joy of cooking with other guests—a moment of hands-on activity and connection, where time slows down and each preparation takes shape through your own hands.
Guided tastings, on the other hand, offer a journey to discover local wines. Thanks to a carefully curated selection of regional labels, guests can explore aromas, characteristics, and possible pairings, connecting with the area’s winemaking culture and with the agriturismo’s new vineyard.
