Day 1: La Spezia
Arrival of clients in La Spezia in the afternoon. Meeting with the guide. Visit to the Naval Museum, one of the most important museums in Europe that tells the story of navigation. Beautiful collection of figureheads, wooden figures placed on the prow of ships; room dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi, who made radio transmissions in La Spezia. At the end city tour. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2: Portovenere and Tour of the Three Islands
Meeting with the guide at the La Spezia pier in Viale Italia. Boarding operations on the boat. Departure for Portovenere.Visit to the Genoese fortified village surrounded by walls, part of which consists of the famous palazzata a mare. Walk to the Church of San Pietro, jewels of Genoese Gothic architecture. Free lunch. Early afternoon boarding operations for Tour of the islands Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, a small archipelago located in the Gulf. The tour allows you to admire the high and wild coast of eastern Liguria. At the end return to Portovenere. Time at leisure. Return boat to La Spezia. Return by bus to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
This excursion will be possible only in favorable sea weather conditions. In case of rough seas, we will reach Portovenere by bus and replace the island tour with a bus tour of the Gulf hills
Day 3: 5 Lands
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for La Spezia. Meeting with the guide at La Spezia Migliarina Station. Departure by train to Manarola. Visit to the marina and walk to Bonfiglio Point. Departure by train to Vernazza. Visit to the most elegant village of the 5 Terre, with the church of St. Margaret of Antioch. Departure by train for Monterosso. Walk to the historic center. Free lunch. Guided tour of the largest village in the 5 Terre with the beautiful church of San Giovanni Battista and the Oratorio dei Neri. Departure by train to La Spezia Migliarina where bus awaits to return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
PLEASE NOTE: In case of orange or red weather alerts, it is forbidden for tourist groups to enter the 5 Terre National Park by Mayoral Ordinances for safety reasons. In this case the trip will be replaced with a visit to Lucca.
Day 4: Sarzana and Lerici
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Sarzana lady of the Val di Magra. Meeting with the guide for a guided tour of the town with the Citadel, the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the house of Napoleon I’s ancestors. At the end coffee break in a historic pastry shop in the town. Departure by bus to Lerici. Lunch in a restaurant. Guided tour of the village dominated by its imposing fortress castle and the oratory of San Rocco. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Pietrasanta and Viareggio
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Viareggio. Meeting with guide walk along the seaside boulevard. Free time at the weekly market full of colorful stalls. Time at leisure for free lunch. Departure by bus to Pietrasanta. Visit to the town with the church of San Martino, the oratory of the Misericordia where two frescoes by Ferdinando Botero are kept. At the end return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Varese Ligure
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with your guide and departure for excursion to discover the Vara Valley nestled in the Apennines and inhabited since prehistoric times. The valley has the title of Organic Valley, for its typical products. The most important center is Varese Ligure, which has always been considered a market for the exchange of goods because it is located at the center of communication routes with northern Italy. Already in existence at the time of the Byzantines, at the end of the 13th century, it was dominated by the Fieschi family, which had the village built with houses placed in a ring, joined by covered porticoes to protect goods. Visit with tasting at a cheese factory with the possibility of purchasing the products. The tasting will consist of: cheeses, cured meats, honey and jams. All will be accompanied by local wine, bread and focaccia. Lunch in local restaurant. Guided tour of the village of Varese Ligure with entrance to the castle. At the end visit to the Croxetti workshop. Return to hotel dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Carrara Marble Quarries
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by bus to Carrara. Meeting with the guide at the Carrara tourist office. Ascent to the Quarries. Visit of a quarry. At the end light lunch in a larderia with the main product of the place, Colonnata lard. Transfer to Carrara. Early afternoon visit to the town with the cathedral of Sant’Andrea. Return to hotel dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Pontremoli
Breakfast at the hotel. Luggage loading on the bus. Departure by bus for Pontremoli. Visit to the town and the Piagnaro Museum. At end departure for return vs. venues.
