Day 1: Pontremoli

Arrival of the guests. Afternoon visit to Pontremoli, an important transit and commercial center. Visit to Piagnaro Castle and the Museum of Stele Statues. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: 5 Lands

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for La Spezia. Meeting with the guide at the La Spezia pier. Departure by boat to Portovenere. Visit to the ancient Genoese village with its beautiful church of San Pietro. Departure by boat for Monterosso and visit to its historic center. Departure by boat for Vernazza. Visit to the most elegant village of the 5 Terre with its church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia. Return by boat to La Spezia where the bus awaits to return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

This excursion will be possible only in favorable sea weather conditions. In case of rough seas, the visit will be made by train and Portovenere will be substituted for Manarola.

PLEASE NOTE: In case of orange or red weather alerts, it is forbidden for tourist groups to enter the 5 Terre National Park by Mayoral Ordinances for safety reasons. In this case the trip will be replaced with a visit to Lucca.

Day 3: La Spezia-Lerici

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for La Spezia. Meeting with guide and visit to the Naval Museum, one of the most important museums in Europe that tells the history of navigation. Beautiful collection of figureheads, wooden figures placed on the prow of ships; room dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi, who made radio transmissions in La Spezia. At the end city tour. Departure by bus to Lerici. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon visit to the pearl of the Golfo dei Poeti with its imposing castle that dominates it from above. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Carrara Marble Quarries – Sarzana

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by bus to Carrara. Meeting with the guide and ascent to the Quarries. Visit to a marble quarry. Light lunch in Larderia to taste the famous Colonnata lard. Departure by bus to Sarzana, lady of the Val di Magra. Guided tour of the town with the Citadel, the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the house of Napoleon I’s ancestors. At the end coffee break in a historic pastry shop in the town. Departure by bus to meet at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Return

Breakfast at hotel. Luggage loading and departure vs. venues.

In case the group arrives by plane possibility of providing Bus GT for entire tour including transfers to and from airport with our assistant. Quotation on request.
