Pick-up and drop-off in La Spezia at 9.50 am.

The tour will begin aboard an elegant private Mercedes minivan that will reach the central marble basin of Carrara through the ancient tunnels where the famous steam-powered “Marmifera” used to pass, with a short stop at the Ponti di Vara.

Once there, guests will board their private 4×4 jeep with their guide, who will take them on a short trip to an altitude of about 700m, where they can admire an open-air quarry and learn about the various extraction techniques, the machinery used, and the history of this precious material.

Weather permitting, they will also enjoy a spectacular view of the valley and the coast.

As a final stop, guests will be taken to the characteristic village of Colonnata for a typical lunch based on the famous Lardo and other local products.
